At Wilding Hallow, I believe the quality of an ingredient matters just as much as the finished product. I choose my ingredients carefully, prioritizing quality, purity, and responsible sourcing over simply choosing the least expensive option.

For my essential oils, I source primarily from trusted suppliers including Revive, Young Living, Cliganic, and, when appropriate, Nirvana Nurture when it has the USDA Organic stamp. The majority of the essential oils I use are USDA Certified Organic.

My body oils, hydrosols, and floral waters are also sourced with the same attention to quality, with many carrying USDA Organic certification.

Why does that matter? Because ingredients are the foundation of what we make. I want you to know what you’re putting on your skin, breathing in, and bringing into your home. I believe in being transparent about my ingredients and choosing quality over quantity, shortcuts, or simply the lowest price.

About ten years ago, I picked up my first book on essential oils, never realizing how much that one book would change the way I saw the world.

It started with essential oils, but it didn’t stop there. I began learning about herbs, botanicals, oils, butters, food, and the many ways people have cared for their bodies naturally for generations. Then I started digging deeper. I read more books, researched online, joined communities, asked questions, and—perhaps most importantly—learned to question the information I was being given.

I wanted to know: Where did this information come from? Who was behind it? What evidence supported it? Who benefited from it? What was actually in the products we were being told were good for us?

The more I learned, the more I realized how complicated it could be to know what you were really buying. Beautiful packaging and appealing promises didn’t always tell the whole story. And that bothered me.

I kept thinking about how many people are genuinely trying to take better care of themselves and their families, yet don’t always have the time, resources, or information to dig as deeply as I had.

That is where the idea for Wilding Hallow began.

I wanted to create something honest. Something thoughtful. Something rooted in the simple idea that caring for ourselves doesn’t have to be complicated. That there is incredible wisdom in the plants, oils, herbs, and natural materials that have been used for centuries.

My faith is also a part of that belief. I believe God has given us an incredible abundance in nature, and I wanted to explore that gift rather than always looking for something more complicated.

But I also wanted these things to be accessible. I found beautiful, thoughtfully made products that I loved, but they were often priced beyond what an average person could comfortably afford. I didn’t want natural self-care to feel like a luxury reserved for a select few.

So I started making my own.

Wilding Hallow grew from that journey—from curiosity, research, questioning, faith, and a desire to create something real and accessible.

I’m still learning. I’m still questioning. I’m still researching.

And I’m still following that same curiosity that began with one little book ten years ago.

Why Do You Make Your Products in Small Batches?

I make Wilding Hallow products in small batches because I believe fresh is better.

Many of the things I make contain natural ingredients, botanicals, oils, butters, hydrosols, and other ingredients that have a shelf life. They aren’t meant to sit around indefinitely, and I don’t want them sitting on a warehouse shelf for months before they ever make their way to you.

Because Wilding Hallow is a one-person business, I have the ability to make products thoughtfully and in quantities that make sense for what is actually needed. My goal is for you to receive your products as close as possible to when they were made, so you can enjoy them while they’re at their freshest.

Small batches also allow me to pay attention to each batch individually instead of treating everything like mass production.

I may not make thousands of products at a time—and that’s intentional.

I’d rather make what I can make well, keep things fresh, and send something to you that I would be happy to use myself.

Wilding Hallow comes from two words that hold the heart of what I wanted this place to be.

Wilding brings to mind the wild—the forest, the untamed, the natural, and the freedom of things growing as they were meant to grow.

Hallow means to make holy, sacred, or deeply honored.

Together, Wilding Hallow represents the meeting place between the wild and the sacred—a place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and honor the simple rituals of caring for ourselves.

It’s a name that reminds me that beauty doesn’t always need to be created in a laboratory or perfected into something artificial. Sometimes the most beautiful things are already growing around us.

That is the spirit of Wilding Hallow.
